Mr. Bolaji Ayodele has been appointed as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank (Gambia) Ltd. Mr. Ayodele replaces Mr. Olufemi Omotoso who has been redeployed to Uganda as the Managing Director of GTBank Uganda after a 3 year remarkable stint as MD/CEO of GTBank Gambia.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bolaji was the Deputy to the outing MD a position he served under two erstwhile Managing Directors. He was the Divisional Head for Operations, Technology and Treasury Units and was appointed as an Executive Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Gambia) Ltd in 2011.
Mr. Bolaji Ayodele joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in 1994, after a brief stint with Chartered Bank Ltd Nigeria where he served in the Foreign Operations Department in 1993. Prior to his deployment to The Gambia in 2005 as General Manager, Mr. Ayodele was the Zonal coordinator for Operations, Northern Nigeria, where all the GTBank branches in the Northern part of Nigeria were under his purview.
Mr. Ayodele holds a B.Sc in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria (1991), a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Business Administration from Enugu State University of Science & Technology (1999) and an MBA in Business Administration from Enugu State University of Science & Technology (2002). He has also attended several management courses at some of the world’s leading business schools.
