At Guaranty Trust, we are supporting our communities and the government in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with partners across several industries, we delivered a 110-bed care facility for people with COVID-19 to help the government respond quickly and adequately to the spread of the virus.
Beyond providing public authorities with the 110-bed COVID-19 Care Centre, we have also continued to bolster the government’s capacity to deal with the pandemic through our donation of N1 billion to the government’s relief efforts and by playing a leading role in the Private Sector Coalition against COVID-19, also known as CACOVID, which works in partnership with the Federal Government, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to combat the pandemic in Nigeria.
As part of CACOVID, we are providing and equipping medical facilities across the country to ensure that Nigeria has an adequate distribution of testing, isolation, and treatment facilities that are fully equipped with medical supplies and trained personnel to cater to anyone who may become infected by the virus.
